to say is that congress s approval rating is at 7%. we are 13 days from christmas. and she s right, they are roadblocking. they are studying for a test, coming to the final exam. this is why americans are watching on the news and then feel disenfranchised. this is everyone s problem and i hate making it partisan. i think they flipped the script in the sense that they now have a vehicle in the house that would extend unemployment insurance, it adds in things that democrats don t want. the ketone pipeline, other deductions in federal pay. but they can vote for something and say, we voted to extend this. we aren t the scrooges. we say yes, they are saying no. they are cutting weeks of benefits. you re absolutely right. no good deed goes unpunished. luke russert, thank you for joining us. the sanl of capitol hill. coming up wrs the gop front-runner. but first, we talk about the political infighting at nrc and the mood in congress. that s next on now . when you have tough pain, d
and he did it in perry s home state. thank you. thank you. during a speech to the veterans of foreign wars convention in san antonio, romney pointed to his own business resume and then took a shot at people he called career politicians. i m a conservative businessman. i spent most of my life outside politics. dealing with real problems in the real economy. career politicians got us into this mess, and they simply don t know how to get us out. get ready for even more romney versus perry. late this afternoon we learned romney has changed his mind, and now has decided to attend a candidate forum on monday in south carolina. rick perry, of course, has already announced he ll be there. and here to talk over the latest developments, cnn political contributor and republican consultant alex castellanos who advised the romney campaign in 2007 and 2008. democratic pollster cornell belcher who worked for the obama campaign in 2008 and david frum, a former speechwriter for pres
the wrs of it is the sounds of eastern north carolina. that s where we re still expecting throughout the night tonight, probably six, maybe ten-foot storm surge causing significant damage and the waterfront communities in north carolina. up the coast, the coe noek rapids area, southern virginia, this area s very prone to storm surge flooding. they ll get theirs probably high tide cycle tomorrow into the early afternoon and getting the landfall, it still locks like long island to the east of there because of the storms coming north like this and then literally a t intersecting the coast and the water can t push sideways but pile up. so you re probably going to see the equivalent of category 2 surge of long island and rhode island we re concerned with. new york city still looks on backside of the storm, thomas. not worst-case scenario for storm surge. not the six to ten feet but a possibility of three to five in lower manhattan. all right.
educated or republicans more church goers. high school graduates between college graduates so i think this is something we will see play out and that obviously palin is playing into here with her fight with rove. sam, we just have a little bit of time left here. but wrs it seems to me that the polls are not really running with sarah palin at this point. most people seem to be over her. yeah, i think that s part of the problem, is that she doesn t generate the type of hype she once did. where as she was the voice of the ant anti-obama crowd, now there is more voices to fill that. karl rove is still very much protecting the prty he built and the bush legacy. a huge swath of the tea party faction stakes claim from the bush administration. they openly criticize to control spending. i think rove looks at that and says, list listen, the eight
