Local leaders and Publix are reacting to accusations reported during Sunday night s 60 minutes story on CBS.The special investigated allegations that Florida’s vaccination rollout favored the wealthy, was inaccessible to minorities and Gov. Ron DeSantis made a deal with Publix for vaccine distribution because of the company s campaign contributions.The story featured interviews with officials including West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James and State Rep. Omari Hardy (D) of Florida s 88th District.Palm Beach County Mayor Dave Kerner was not included in the story. He issued this statement on Monday. Kerner says he spoke with 60 Minutes staff and told them information pertaining to the story and that that information was left out.
