Worland Warriors Leave No Doubt | Big Horn Radio Network

After a season of unknowns, teams having to postpone, reschedule, and outright cancel games. A season that required mask on fans and unfilled gyms. The Warriors got to prove to the State of Wyoming they were the best. A chance to “Leave No doubt.” The opening round of the Wyoming 3A Boys State Basketball Championships were held in Casper Wyoming March 10th and 11th. The Warriors came into the Championships as the number one seed from the West Region. They would face the East Regions number 4 seed Wheatland Bulldogs.

Warriors Drop Game in Powell | Big Horn Radio Network

Written by Chance Bond on February 16, 2021 The Worland Warriors went to Powell Saturday with a 13-2 overall record 4-0 in Conference and ranked number one in Wyoming 3A Boys Basketball. They would leave Powell with a loss a some uncertainty with seedings and rankings. Powell, ranked number two in Wyoming 3A was 11-2 overall and 2-1 in Conference. The Panthers haven’t lost since January 22nd to The Warriors 86-59. Mack Page is the number two leading scorer in the State of Wyoming 3A Boys Basketball with just over 18 points per game average. The Panthers Mason Marchant is the number 3 leading scorer in 3A basketball with right at 18 points per game. Mason is also fourth in rebounding, second in assists, fourth in steals, and has a 57% shooting percentage averaging over 12 shots per game. He is Powell’s best player.

Warriors Win Over Hot Springs County | Big Horn Radio Network

Written by Chance Bond on February 11, 2021 The Worland Warriors remain at the number one spot in Wyoming 3A Boys Basketball. Tops in the State as the Warriors had lost two in a row. Hot Springs County would reschedule a game from Saturday and play on Tuesday night. The Bobcats were 4-10 for the season and 0-4 in the 3A Northeast Quad. The Warriors came out shooting with three’s. Rudy Sanford had two. Jorey Anderson and Brock Douzenis both had one. Added with Mack Page and his six points. Worland finished the first period with a 25-15 lead. The Bobcats Hardy Johnson, Adley Coyne, and Jase Longwell would carry the bulk of the Hot Springs offense in the second period. Sanford would continue with long range shots. Scoring would come from eight different Warriors in the first half. 37-28 halftime lead.

Warrior Wrestling Win Five of Six | Big Horn Radio Network

Written by Chance Bond on January 21, 2021 The Warrior Wrestling team were on the mat this weekend in Sweetwater County. Rock Springs and Green River were the host cities for this years Thoman-Jackman Tournament. Covid restrictions created a dual event this season. The Worland Warriors went into the tournament ranked fourth in Wyoming 3A wrestling. Day one of the duals would have Worland in Pool 4 with Rock Springs, Sheridan, and Mountain View. First up were the Rock Springs Tigers. Ranked sixth as a team in Wyoming 4A wrestling and having nine ranked wrestlers including Broc Flethcher the number one ranked 4A wrestler at 106 pounds. Fletcher would beat Anthony Martinez by fall.
