Muriel F Gould

Muriel F. Gould, a former speech therapist and professional actor who built a home in Woods Hole in the mid-1960s, died April 20 at Bridges by Epoch in Mashpee. She was 92. After moving to Woods Hole year-round in 1995, Ms. Gould became a member of the Cape Cod Theatre Project. She also participated with readings in Story Hour for Grownups at Woods Hole Public Library and was involved with Woods Hole Theater Company, for which she also sometimes served as dialect coach. Ms. Gould had performed in regional theater, worked off-Broadway and in films. She also appeared in the soap operas “Ryan’s Hope” and “Loving,” and had done radio commercials. She was a member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Library Will Offer Viewings of Seeding Change

The Woods Hole Public Library, after a successful viewing of the film “Picture a Scientist,” will be showing another documentary from the same film company, Ro co Films. This time the film is “Seeding Change, the Power of Conscious Commerce,” which waswill be released on Earth Day, April 21. This powerful and persuasive film discusses the worldwide condition of hunger, climate change, and the need for changes in agriculture and consumerism. Basically, the film shows that the most important environmental step people can take on a daily basis is to buy responsibly, that everyone should consider their buying habits an environmental act. In the end, the film’s message is hopeful because it shows that all can make a difference by encouraging sustainable agriculture and fair trade around the globe.
