Reporter well, sara, police have arrested the driver but you can see behind me, state Highway Patrol and cleveland fire still working to clear this accident on 480 west and we are right by state road where this accident happened. The state Highway Patrol tells me the accident happened around 9 00 tonight. Two women were changing a tire here when a driver hit them. The accident originally reported as a hit and run. Killed one woman and left the other with serious injuries. The driver kept going but Police Arrested him just off of ridge road, the next commit from where im standing. So not far away. Car seat and threw a blanket over her and called police. Officers showed up at the same time as the father. Dad was freaking out and said he was cooking and turned around and the girl was gone. He is like we got all of the lots in place. I dont know what happened. Reporter but not the first time this girl got out two weeks ago police picked her up across the street after employees saw her wandering alone. She said said her mom is at the movies and her dad is sleeping. Reporter a quarter mile from the apartment. Folks tell me they have been working with the family since that first incident to make sure that it doesnt happen again. So are police. She gave them a fake name when arrested. The nypd searching for this woman, they are saying she is 23yearold tiffany numen and been on the run since 10 00. She was arrested on larceny. On sunday she was being prepped for arraignment, and raised concerns about being pregnant and said she had bruising. One of the officers took her to the hospital in lower manhattan.
