table. the issue for boris johnson is this bill is amendable. what we re more likely to see is amendment will be added to this bill which will appease those on the other side but won t appease boris johnson. one of them being talked about this morning is that this deal goes through but brittain remains part of the continent. something boris johnson won t support. the other idea is that there will be an amendment attached to it with a referendum, something boris johnson doesn t want to do. it s another one of those days, rosemary, where we go into it not knowing what will happen. we know there have been a lot of protesters out on the street. a lot of britts not happy with how this is playing out. talk to us about just how
representative they are of britts. reporter: well, the demonstrations i wouldn t say are widespread. i mean, we see them here in london. see them in other parts of the country particularly. there are demonstrators out and about, of course. i wouldn t say this is a mass crisis. a lot of people simply aren t engaged in the protests at all. they don t know what s going on. the public is struggling as well. in brussels we re seeing events unfold. they re carrying on with what boris johnson protested. instead of letting parliament get on with business, i m hoping they ll push something through. expect them to have a delay of some kind. they don t want that in brussels either. they need to find some way through the protest.
hudson. good to see you again. good morning, good to see you. ainsley: tell us some of the things they don t want us to know. immigration the political left in america has claimed for decades that strong border security is something that hispanics won t support. and the establishment media has simply failed to report the fact that a majority of border patrol agents are actually hispanic. there are democrats in congress today that loudly support a strong immigration security a decade ago but they currently fight the trump administration s plan to build a wall along the southern border. but, yet, those same democrats continuously vote for spending bills in which the american taxpayer is left to foot the bill to the fine of billions of dollars to provide security in other countries. steve: and, in fact, last night the president in new mexico mentioned that a lot of hispanics in new mexico and elsewhere are for the border wall and border
mcconnell to put that bill on the floor. and if he doesn t, which he won t because he is impervious to compromise on this issue just as he is on all other issues. if he will not put it on the floor, the american people need to demand members of need to elect members of congress that will ensure that that bill is on the floor and voted by the members of congress. it is supported by 90% of the american people. and if there are people there that won t support what 90% of the american people want, we need to beat them. i would wish that we could compromise with them, but i don t think those guys are open to compromise because the nra won t let them compromise. my state is a third democratic, a third republican and a third independent. it is a western state. after columbine, we went out and we went to the ballot led by our republican governor at the time to close the gun show. basically to put on the ballot the same bill that s on the floor of the house of representatives today. and we pa
mcconnell. he has the power to bring these bills to the floor. that s why more and more people are coming and saying where are you, mitch? i know that there are billboards going up in his state asking where are you, mitch? and that s the question. he says he won t bring anything up on the senate floor that the president won t support. does that mean that it s almost like saying what do we need the senate for? we can just have a president. you know how these codels, congressional delegations work. yes. lawmakers were going to visit troops in a war zone. was there any legitimate security reason? and you re a member of the arm services committee. of course. to cancel the trip? no. it was very clearly the president being in a snit. i m sure he s very proud of himself because he s very child-like and his view of the world is all about him. i have gone on congressional delegations to afghanistan, iraq, to china, to all of these places.
