Well, it was in the 1940s that thensenator harry truman led a committee that traveled the country examining military sites and how the publics money was being spent. It became known as the Truman Committee and was said to have saved many dollars and lives and may even have shortened the war. Joining us is Steve Drummond. Hes with National Public radio and hes the author of this book, the watchdog how the Truman Committee battled corruption and helped win World War Two. Mr. Drummond, thanks for being with us.
