on the offensive looking at colorado, michigan, pennsylvania, other states but they see momentum and try to build on that momentum. tamron? when we say build on that momentum, he s played so much to his base and not expanded from that whether it s latino voters, african-americans, even though he s had numbers that cannot be verified in growth in those areas. where do they see their ability to expand? reporter: you know what, whenever the trump campaign talks about getting out and getting voters like women voters who favor hillary clinton in almost every poll we see by 20 and 30 points, the trump campaign says, to us, we believe all issues are women issues or hispanic issues. jobs, for example, is an issue that women and hispanics and african-americans will love and
undecided voters or independent voters could this potentially move? and at this point i think the cake is kind of baked on that issue. people have decided on obamacare. and also he s not really the one to prosecute the issue because he can t stay on a single message. he had a revealing interview with rush limbaugh today in which he said people want me to stay on obamacare. but i have to defend myself on the women issues. limbaugh asked him about it. and he just admitted it. other people say stay on jobs. stay on obamacare and repealing and replacing it. so i guess it is two theories. and he said i would rather fight it. people say you shouldn t do that and just go along and by fight it he means fight it on the women front. he hasn t given up on that. and trump says he would repeal and replace obamacare,

in court. voters were asked, do you think how hillary clinton handled her e-mails is indicative of how she d be as president? they were asked the same thing about donald trump about the women issues. more voters thought hillary clinton s e-mails were more of an indication how she d handle the presidency. voters are voting on issues. i m very encouraged by this poll. i hope they end up voting on the economy, the issue most important to them, that s donald trump s biggest issue. karine? excuse me. i think it s clear donald trump has no idea what sexual assault means which is incredibly dangerous for someone who wants to be president of these united states. also, look, one in five women are affected by this. for him to say that, all it does, it opens up old wounds and he it s not new, right? he showed he didn t understand sexual assault when he made those comments after the access hollywo hollywood tapes. he showed he didn t understand sexual assault after these 11 women or 12 wom
some of what jeff is hearing. but let me expand upon that a little bit. if trump says this is ols as we point out the larger context of this and the pattern donald trump has dealing with women. then broaden it out further to the question of what kind of commander in chief and world leader that would make him. how would he deal with women in the military. how would he stay out of the white house, for example. so what we should expect is put it in context. and they talk about her life experiences in terms of dealing with the women issues.
