The fire continues to get closer to the town of mariposa, right now it is north of the town but it exploded overnight and as you mentioned it is 7 contained. It has burned 47,000 acres. We just got an update, 5000 residents have fled their homes. Cal fire and other agencies are continuing airdrops. Overnight the crews cut fire lines and bulldozer crews were busy at work. The challenge is the terrain which is steep and hilly and there is a lot of fresh vegetation providing fuel and fire crews are dealing with humidity and went. The cal fire chief walked us through with a map and give us a visual of what they are dealing with. This black line is contained. That fire is not going to spread out of there. It
