Outside linebacker Robert Quinn, who missed mandatory minicamp practices because of a sore back, missed practice at Soldier Field for the same reason Tuesday. The Bears will monitor the injury closely.
“We want to make sure we take care of him all year long, all training camp .” Bears coach Matt Nagy said. “We’ll have a really good plan. I feel good about that.”
The team desperately needs contributions from Quinn, who posted only two sacks last year after signing a five-year, $70 million contract.
“Robert has come in here with a regular mindset, he’s practiced his tail off, he’s looked really really good,” Nagy said. “Now it’s just for him, a time where we’ve gotta pull back and protect him from him.”
