The Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has taken over the investigation into the murder of a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), identified as Daniel Adefemi Okunade. It was learnt that Okunade who was a top ranking officer in the Internal Audit Department of CBN, was shot in the head by suspected assassins on Tuesday while returning from work. The Nigerian Police Force has confirmed the killing of at least four people during the invasion of a supermarket by gunmen in One Man Village, near Mararaba, in the Karu Local Government Area of the state. Some armed men reportedly attacked the supermarket and killed four customers around 8:45pm on Tuesday. In a video obtained from the incident by PUNCH, a voice was heard saying that one of the deceased individuals possessed an identity card belonging to the Central Bank of Nigeria.
