Thanks to the wisconsin Innocence Project, who helped him get his case overturned. Holloway also thanked the hard work of his attorneys in helping to prove his innocence. During his 24 years in prison. Holloways mother died. And that when he says he almost wanted to give up on fighting for freedom. He says his mothers advice of never giving up is what kept him going. Now at 48yearsold, holloway has spent a majority of his adult life behind bars. And says the next step will be hard as he tries to find a job. This has been a long thing. I lost family members and different things. Im trying to rebuild my life now. I came in midtwenties. Man, im almost 50 now. My whole life has changed. Changed. Under state law, holloway could get about five thousand dollars per year. For the time he spent in prison. However, that is capped at 25 now to more on the efforts of the Innocence Project. Project. The group, created in 1992, is dedicated to exonerating wronfully convicted people using new Technol
