Moseley completes coaching staff for Badgers women s basketball | WTAQ News Talk | 97 5 FM · 1360 AM

Scott Merritt will join the Badgers as the associate head coach while Kate Barnosky and Caroline Doty have been named assistant coaches, Moseley announced. “In putting together my staff, I was committed to selecting individuals who are winners at their cores,” explained Moseley. “Each of these coaches are incredible people first and skilled professionals second. Caroline, Kate, and Scott are the epitome of what Wisconsin Athletics is about – loyal, driven, and dedicated people who are committed and focused on taking Badger women’s basketball to the top! This is the start of a new era of excellence in Madison and I can’t wait for this team and our greater community to embrace these incredibly dynamic coaches.”

Apr 6, 2021 7:20 AM (UW ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS) MADISON – After 32 years at the University of Wisconsin, including the final 18 as the Director of Athletics, Barry Alvarez announced Tuesday that he will officially retire on June 30, 2021, ending a legendary career in Madison.    For the past 18 seasons, Alvarez has presided over one of the nation’s most prosperous and respected athletic departments. Wisconsin has enjoyed remarkable success during Alvarez’s tenure, winning a combined 16 team national titles and 74 conference regular-season or tournament crowns since he took over. In 2017-18, he earned Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year honors.   “It has been an honor to be a part of Wisconsin Athletics and I take great pride in all we have accomplished over the last three decades,” Alvarez said. “From championships, to improvements on campus, to impacting thousands of student-athletes, it’s been a great ride. Wisconsin AD Barry Alvarez formally retiring in June April 6, 2021 9:03 AM Ken Kosirowski Wisconsin Athletic Director Barry Alvarez is formally resigning on June 30, 2021, after 32 years at the university, per an official press release. Alvarez has presided over Badger athletics for the last 18 years. In that span, Wisconsin has won a total of 16 national titles and 74 conference regular season or tournament titles. “It has been an honor to be a part of Wisconsin Athletics and I take great pride in all we have accomplished over the last three decades,” Alvarez said via the release. “From championships, to improvements on campus, to impacting thousands of student-athletes, it’s been a great ride. I’m grateful for the support, generosity, enthusiasm and loyalty of Badgers in the state of Wisconsin and beyond. Thank you.”
