missouri, also areas of montana going to get snow. we re not talking block buster amounts, three to six in the narrow white stripe through the dakotas along the iowa/nebraska border and into the st. louis area. this is over the entire weekend. by the time the storm gets to the east coast, it s a little early to pinpoint who s going to get what, but this will be a significant storm. the south mostly rain, but appalachians could be hit with snow or ice and then this will move up tuesday night into wednesday towards the northeast. it is possible this could become a nor easter or big winter storm. at this point it looks like a wintry mess on the coast. interior sections have the best chance of getting a significant snow. but again, we re still three to four days away from this and the forecast could change a little bit. but everyone on the east coast definitely tuesday, wednesday, into thursday morning, that s the time frame that we re probably going to deal with the next significant winte

what we re seeing in oklahoma is tomorrow morning what the pictures are going to look like in chicago. it s just a matter of time before that snow gets there. it s already breaking out now in areas of central illinois. let me take you through the storm and what we re going to be dealing with here. winter storm warnings covering the pink, the red the blizzard warnings. from detroit, to chicago, southwards, down to oklahoma city. what is new, we have ice storm warnings for the suburbs outside of new york city, tonight into tomorrow. southern connecticut, northern jersey could have lot of power outages because of the ice. there s multifacets to these winter weather event. this one, the winds are the big story. dallas, 40. oklahoma city, 40 mile per hour gusts. wichita 45. those wind gusts tonight will be up in chicago where it s already at 31 and not even snowing. the windchills on the back side of the storm are brutal. everyone in dallas isn t happy. as far as the snow goes, the areas of
bitterly cold windchills this morning, snow left over along the mid-atlantic. not a blockbuster snowstorm, but i think the cold may be a bigger story today. look at the windchill, minus 9 in minneapolis. what is going to get everyone s attention and it has if you live in the deep south, we are going to see a rare winter weather event down almost to new orleans. we have winter storm watches in the northern half of louisiana covering much of mess miss, alabama and northern georgia. we re going to see our next storm system developing on sunday. during the day, we ll see heavy rain picking up, dallas north wards into southern oklahoma. we re going to watch a path of snow with this storm that s going to go through areas of the deep south. the lower tep ten valley, we re talking about areas that don t typically see a lot of snow. we ll see difficult travel on monday with many schools being canceled in this area. we take that storm off the east coast and it is possible this could hug the coas
