Smithfield introduced to new Pleasant View Elementary

SMITHFIELD – Students from McCabe and Winsor Elementary schools cheered as construction workers lowered a wooden truss topped with a pine tree onto the McCabe School’s addition, in a symbolic gesture on the joining of the school with Winsor Elementary to create the new Pleasant View Elementary School.
Administrators, town and school officials, and students from McCabe and Winsor watched as crews lowered the highest truss onto the addition at McCabe Elementary School, 100 Pleasant View Ave., on Monday, to commemorate the successful build.
