Two assaults and robberies took place in Burlington on Wednesday, according to press releases from the Burlington Police Department.  In one incident around 3:30 p.m. in the Walgreens parking lot at Winooski Avenue and Cherry Street, a victim suffered significant facial injuries and was transported to The University of Vermont Medical Center by ambulance. Police reported the victim was in stable condition. According to the release, police found the victim in the parking lot bleeding heavily from the face after an apparent assault.
