Microsoft has started the roll out of its semi-annual update of Windows 10 that is focused on improving security, remote access and quality features. The software giant introduced the updates in February and subsequently released 21H1 builds to Windows Insiders in the Beta channel to get feedback and data insights on quality.

Microsoft calls users who manually check for updates “seekers,” so clicking the check for updates button triggers the seeking experience, prompting its servers to offer Windows 10 version 21H1 to compatible devices.

Microsoft has officially released Windows 10 May 2021 Update, also referred to as version 21H1, to the first wave of production devices.
Windows 10 May 2021 Update isn’t a big release, as it’s mostly focused on under-the-hood improvements, so it won’t bring too many new features.
But Microsoft explains that what it wants to do with version 21H1 is to focus on a few areas, such as security and remote access, to provide users with a more polished experience.

Windows 10 version 21H1, also called May 2021 Update, is now available for the first wave of production devices, though the company warns that some computers could be hit by a safeguard hold preventing them from downloading the new feature update.
And according to the official Windows 10 health dashboard, the May 2021 Update comes with two known issues, though Microsoft says mitigations already exist for both.
