The spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, has called on senators to approve direct rule over catalonia, amid an escalating crisis over the regions push for independence. The Catalan Parliament could respond by declaring independence. Lets cross over live now to my colleague in barcelona. You join me live outside the Catalan Parliament, where after weeks of turmoil, demonstrations and chaos and anger, this Catalan Crisis finally looks to be coming to a head. In the last few minutes, ca rles head. In the last few minutes, Carles Puigdemont, the catalan president , arrived here at parliament. We understand one of the motions he put to a vote today is a declaration of independence, a declaration of independence, a declaration that catalonia will be a sovereign state, independent, they will notify the eu, and any think madrid two sides will be irrelevant because it will be outside catalan law. Temperatures closing in on 70. Satellite and radar lots of clouds to the west were still clear up and down the eastern seaboard or at least in the Delaware Valley and the Lehigh Valleys, all this cloud cover will stroll in here after lunch time. Just like yesterday we saw the clouds build in during the afternoon. Same thing here. Today the difference we wont see the popup showers. It should be dry. As we good into this afternoon, look at how these temperatures spread out. Well be at 65 in half moon bay, 98 in concord. Unfortunately it looks like the south bay is starting to see some accidents out on the road that the Early Morning hour. Were tracking possibly three incidents near this area and some areas are already starting to see some delays and some backup. The initial one northbound 101 at oakland came in as a stalled vehicle but apparently chp is reporting that it may have been hit by another vehicle and now lanes are blocked. Were also seeing another crash and this sai long southbound 280 at bird avenue. This is already cleared off to the r
