CAIRO â Middle and high school students at Cairo-Durham will be learning remotely until January, following the districtâs latest COVID-19 case.
The high school student was last in school Monday, Cairo-Durham Superintendent Michael Wetherbee wrote in a letter to parents.
âWe are anticipating a shortage of staff at the high school due to precautionary quarantines, therefore grades 6-12 must shift to remote learning starting on Thursday, Dec. 10,â Wetherbee said. âDue to the length of the quarantines, remote instruction will continue until the holiday recess and in-person classes will resume on Monday, Jan. 4.â
The middle school was closed out of an abundance of caution, Wetherbee said.
