we got clouds racing through. as we look at what s been happening over the last 12 hours starting at 4:30 yesterday afternoon. see those areas of red on the screen? those were the storms that were producing the small tornadoes. they did quickly comethe washin did diminish as they came through the metro area. now the sky is partly cloudy over fairfax county, loudoun, the district, and southern maryland. it s all cloudy partly south and west. some rain beginning to fall in the highlands of west virginia, and it stretches back down near charlottesville. some of the rain should be arriving here around 8:00 or 9:00 this morning. between now and then we ll have increasing clouds. right now low to mid-60s through the region. 66 at reagan national. sunrise at 7:16. we ll have the rain moving in and maybe a little thunder and lightning too, especially around noon time. we ll clear out with a blustery northwest wind. we ll get much cooler. reaching low 70s early afternoon and down into
