Once here, a second driver then, not knowing about the fatal accident, took the bus back out on the road. After watching this video police then set out looking for the bus. Three hours later, they found it and pulled it over in the midwood section of brooklyn. Several workers were seen going in and out of the precinct all day as crime scene investigators went over each and every inch of that bus looking for evidence. Its horrific. Police say he was not wearing his uniform at the time. The victim was taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. I just passed yesterday speaking with her and i saw her outside laughing and fun going about her normal day. But its a shock. Reporter the bus driver is identified as 48yearold paul roper. Initially it was unclear if the driver knew the woman was hit. And now we understand those charges have been filed. We reached out to the transport Workers Union local 100. The union that represents the bus driver. We got a statement back that says, its a terrible tragedy. Very early stage in the investigation. So there will be no further comments from the unity.
