Wild Water and Wheels, a Surfside Beach water park that operated for 32 years before closing in 2022, could become a gas station and car wash, but the landowner needs a rezoning before those plans can proceed.
The owner of the former Wild Water and Wheels waterpark in Surfside Beach said he needs the town to rezone his property and he promised not to put residential units there if the zoning is changed.
