The 2023 Minnesota Harness Racing divisional award winners have been announced ahead of the MHRI Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet. The celebration of the 2023 season will take place on Saturday, Feb. 17 at Running Aces Casino Hotel and Racetrack in Columbus.
The claiming races do not produce story headlines on a regular basis at most harness racing tracks, but one of the top performances of the night on Sunday, Aug. 27 at Running Aces came in such a contest.
The Sunday night (Aug. 13) harness racing program at Running Aces was highlighted by the 2023 Steve Wiseman Memorial Trot, which had a talented and accomplished field of nine square-gaiters line up to battle for $35,000 in purse money.
