ILLINOIS STATE NEWS BRIEF (3/3/21)

Newton, IL, USA / WIKK 103.5 FM The Eagle | Classic Rock Mar 3, 2021 7:52 AM (CHICAGO) The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 1,577 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday with 20 additional deaths. In the latest vaccination report, just over 3.6 million doses of vaccine have been delivered to providers in Illinois, with just over 2.8 million vaccines administered statewide as of last midnight. The state’s seven day rolling average of vaccines administered daily is at 80,000 doses. There were over 61,000 doses given yesterday. LOCAL COVID-10 VACCINATION UPDATE

Mar 3, 2021 8:01 AM (OLNEY/NEWTON) The Richland County TB & Health Office in Olney has experienced a decrease in its vaccine allotment for Richland County first doses. Therefore, no first dose clinics are scheduled at this time, however to get on the first dose COVID-19 wait list, call weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 to 5:00 each day, at 618-320-1082. Meanwhile, the TB & Health Office in Olney is continuing with its second dose clinics both this week and next week as scheduled. The Office will be administering first doses to those individuals on the wait list as doses become available. That’s for those who live and work in Richland County. Talton and Jordan Tchuente added 14 and 12 points respectively the Blue Knights improve to 9-2 on the year, now at 5-1 in District play OCC returns to GRAC action tonight when they’ll host Kaskaskia in “The Dungeon” at 6:30 the OCC Lady Knights lost a close one to Rend Lake, 73-77 Ti’Aja Christopher led OCC with 17 points while Ally Willis added 15 points the Lady Knights fall to 2-8 on the year, now at 2-4 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference
