The Thunderbirds are back in St. Joseph after a year of absence in performing nationwide since the start of the COVID pandemic.
This weekend is full of fun at the Rosecrans Memorial Airport with the Sound of Speed Airshow starting today.

The airshow will not only feature the Thunderbirds but also several other airplane acts, shows, events, and displays.
General admission tickets are sold out for today, however tickets are still available for Sunday. Flight Line Club and Premium Boxes tickets are still available for both today and tomorrow.

A $7 million federal grant allowed the University of Missouri-Kansas City to expand its campus to St. Joseph.
Missouri Senator Roy Blunt visited the new UMKC Medical School Campus in St. Joseph yesterday afternoon to observe how the grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration grant has been used.
Blunt started the Medical Student Education program in 2019. The program funding was doubled in 2020 to the amount of $50 million.
