The 125th birth centenary of Netaji Subhas Bose has seen a revival of his legacy. Beginning this year, Republic Day celebrations have started from his birth anniversary, January 23. This Independence Day will see a 28-foot-tall statue of Netaji being unveiled under an umbrella near India Gate. Netaji scholar Chandrachur Ghose, who has a new biography out on the incandescent revolutionary, tells Managing Editor Sandeep Unnithan why the entire spectrum of the political class had a problem with Bose’s towering legacy.
