Shoe boxes full of gifts at Wexham Park Hospital

They came courtesy of pupils at Slough s Westgate School in Cippenham Lane. Students had got together to fill the shoe boxes with gifts and treats. There were colouring books, toys and treats for children on the wards as well as toiletries, blankets, notebooks and other useful items for adults looking after them. Sabeena Akram, community lead at the school, said: The shoe boxes were wrapped like proper Christmas presents. We just wanted everyone who received one to feel a bit like they would if they were at home with the family. Carys Williams, Year 7 director of learning at the school said: As a school we are overwhelmed by the generosity shown by our students and are so proud that because of them, we can support those in our community who deserve it the most.
