This after five victims in Spring Garden and fairmount were held up by gun point last month, two in the middle of the day. 18th and fairmount and 27th and Spring Garden. That is scary to be Walking Around here. One crime was captured at 4 30 a. M. They approach the victim and rob them and run into a get away van. A shady sketchy looking gentlemen was patrolling the area and sort of picked a victim who looked vulnerable with a cell phone or laptop out. Another Armed Robbery happening here at green and 20th, making five in the last 30 days. Local artist Robert Woodward says that one suspect was so braise and he did it while he was doing roof repairs and he stole a tool while i was up in the scaffolding. Reporter well, jim, police are still out here looking for ballistics and other evidence. They say a Good Samaritan tried to around 9 30 tonight. The gunman came upon the victim came upon two gunmen under a well lit area of the park under a lamp. There are plenty of witnesses out here. Some are in the process of being interviewed right at this hour by central detectives. Now, the victim got shot multiple times in the upper body. He left his bike behind, and he saw Police Recover that bicycle. Police say the Good Samaritan tried to stop the two gunmen from robbing a group of people, and they share a part of that confrontation. And make some sort of verbal comment that what do you do whether youre not going to rob these individuals . Dont do this. Something along those lines. So this 39yearold victim actually intervened and tried to stop this robbery when one of the perpetrators then fired multiple shots.
