right at the time of that wall of water is working in, we could see some records being broken in that area. on top of all of that, we also got some heavy rain. significant flooding is a very big issue we could see through the next couple of days. it stretches from right where we re expecting it to make landfall in that big bend area up to the carolinas, charleston, wilmington, stretching down toward cedar key, crystal river. we could have anywhere from 4 to 6 inches of rain, but up to a foot of rain in some of these spots. one thing to note, a lot of areas across florida need the rain. we re talking severe and extreme drought in some spots, but it is always problematic when we have a whole lot of rain working on shore all at the same time. the flood risk is going to be there, really be mindful of that. we know water is the number one killer of people and damager of structures when it comes to these situations. so we really want people to heed these warnings. good warning there, angie
automatically a republican seat. it s an automatic flip. you keep using the word if there, i want people to know why. this is the statement that joe manchin put out after governor justice s after his announcement, manchin said, quote, i am laser focused on doing the job west virginiaens elected me to do, lowering health care costs, protecting social security, medicare, shoring up american energy security and getting our fiscal house in order. but, make no mistake, i will win any race i enter, that last line we highlighted, i ll win any race i enter. that s not i m in it. it s saying i might be. what s going on here? well, first of all, manchin, this is west virginia, and politics is kind of sport here. so nobody s going to be wimpy about an election, and manchin is a fighter, he s proved he can win elections. but i also think, john, keep an eye on this. manchin has three options here. he s 75 years old. he s had a lifetime in politics. he could run for reelection, and
themselves up by the bootstraps, so but we don t have an in infrastructure and care for child care. it is not affordable. it is not accessible. just from the mere geography of west virginia, there are people without child care options there in their state. this would have been life changing for so many west virginiaens. west virginia is an interesting state. it is a deeply red state. has a democratic senator in joe manchin. but uses and benefits from a lot of federal subsidies on things like this. senator manchin has made the argument that the child tax credit, for instance, needs to be means tested, income limits, et cetera, to make sure it is going to people who need it. in your experience, during the time it has been in place, has it been getting to people who need it or been going to anybody who wants it? no, it is absolutely been reaching the people who need it. it is a lot of people who will never qualify for any sort of assistance to be able to afford
