Lieutenant general andrei pigey who will retire in september is the deputy chief of staff for army logistics. His nearly fourdecade career has taken him literally all over the world but his roots are and always have been in arkansas. The general was born in stamps, arkansas, a small town in Lafayette County with less than 3,000 people. The son of a World War Ii Army veteran, the general didnt have his sights set on a career of military service from a young age. To 911. We are told once police got here, thats when they closed down the entire area because they did take the threat seriously. They did use two robotics from the bomb squad to come out and evaluate the backpack and search the area. The perimeter has been opened up but obviously there has been a lot of back up and a lot of traffic. In fact it took us about an hour to get out here because route 50 was closed. Patrick henry drive was closed. Obviously that had an effect on several other roads in the area. This is as you know a very popular area in virginia with lots of families. There is a safe way, a target down the road, subway, dunkin donuts. On a hot day like this, a lot of people were in the area. They did evacuate immediately. They did have to close the perimeter to be safe. Police say at this point they have opened it up and they are going to slowly allow more cars as you see to start to they say you can anticipate more delays because it will take sometime. This is the gate. We come over here and we take a look down the lane past the fence, you can see thats the remains of the structure back there and up above it that big crane. We can show you some video of when they rolled this big thing in here earlier today. This house is so big, 16,000 square feet. They say about five times the size of the normal house. They need this heavy equipment to do their investigation. Now, this is being treated, were told now essentially as a crime scene. Not because there is a belief that the crime happened. But the big story this noon say tshl accident in new jersey that left three people dead, it happened at the walt Whitman Plaza in cherry hill. A jeep lost control and ran off the roadway. Another deadly morning on the interstate traffic is moving one again this noon, that is not the case this morning in some areas of south jersey the new jersey turnpike saw major delays after the accident blocked traffic. Three people died on the new jersey turnpike when a Jeep Cherokee lost control, it happened on the southbound side near route 70 in cherry hill, drivers say while the snow barely covered the ground in south jersey, it was enough to make the roads tricky this morning. Board shows you a series of small snow showers pushing through, we have a little concern we could get an additional coating out of the this especially areas south and eastern parts of pennsylvania. It could change over to rain and freezing drizzle. We have a Winter Weather advisory until 8 00 a. M. After that we expect the situation to improve but freezing drizzle up until 8 in through here, not everybody sees it. Snow totals were not that much in the northern and western areas. A couple of folks got an inch. We kind of underperformed so you dont have much snow to deal with in areas of western pennsylvania. Bridgeton, estelle manner, sea fill and Cumberland County in through here you did get two to three inches. There is more snow on the side streets and secondary streets. 1 degrees in 31 in philadelphia. 30 in wilmington, 30 in wildwood.
