Hello and welcome to bbc news. South koreas Prime Minister has warned that the coronavirus outbreak there is entering a grave new phase after a surge in the number of cases. In a televised address, Prime Minister Chung Sye Kyun asked south koreans to avoid large gatherings, including religious events. The number of coronavirus cases in the country has more than doubled in a day, with 229 people confirmed in the last 2a hours. That means there are a total of 433 cases in south korea, the highest number of infections in a country outside of china. Many of the new cases are linked to a hospital in cheongdo and a church in nearby daegu. Our correspondent laura bicker has more from the capital, seoul. Well, the real centre of concern is a Psychiatric Hospital in cheongdo, about 200 miles kilometres south of here.
