On the evening of Aug. 8, he was seen “tearing up and down the road,” on 400th Avenue in rural Becker County. The silver, 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada he was driving broke down and a deputy found him with the car on the side of the road with the hood open.
On Aug. 31, during a search of his house, 11 grams of methamphetamine was found on the floor near the bed in a bedroom, 24 grams of meth was found between the bed mattresses, and 32 grams was found in a closet.
A duffel bag was found that contained $2,900 in $20 bills, a microbaggie with 1.7 grams of heroin, a microbaggie with 1.8 grams of heroin, a microbaggie with 10.8 grams of heroin and a baggie with 90.8 grams of meth, according to court records.
The charge was dismissed Oct. 20 based on an April 1 incompetency finding, based in part on “cognitive difficulties as a result of his traumatic brain injury,” according to court records.
Scott Thomas Bergstrom, 32, of rural Rochert, was charged in Becker County District Court with gross misdemeanor malicious punishment of a child and misdemeanor domestic assault.
