Local massage therapy clinic stretches into the Fan for better fit Jack Jacobs photo) After a longer-than-expected stay on Arthur Ashe Boulevard, a local massage therapy clinic is preparing to move into the Fan. Resolve Bodyworks plans to open at 2313 W. Cary St. in early June. It will share the building with the Sherwin-Williams store at the corner of West Cary Street and Stafford Avenue. Resolve is currently at 205 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd., where it’s been since late 2019. The upcoming relocation is its third move in four years, having started off with a space within Humble Haven’s former Shockoe Slip studio in spring 2017.

( Mike Platania photo) A row of aging office buildings in the Fan is set to be razed to make way for a new salon-anchored development. Local developer and entrepreneur Andrew Flint is planning to replace four century-old structures in the 2600 block of West Cary Street with a mixed-use project that will include a storefront for Hive Salon Studios, a local chain he owns. Flint bought the buildings at 2606, 2608, 2610 and 2612 W. Cary St. for $1.27 million in November 2020 and began looking into renovating them, rather than tearing them down.
