Centre is likely to take disciplinary action against Bengal Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay if he fails to report to Delhi after being summoned by the DoPT.
The Personnel Ministry may issue a show cause notice to the officer seeking his explanation. The future course of action will be decided on his response and his case for full pension would be taken only after the matter is solved.
As of now, Bandyopadhyay has not been relieved of his duties by the Bengal government. As per tomorrow s schedule, he may be participating in a review meeting to be chaired by the CM at the state secretariat around 3 pm, the source said.
