M&S reboots menswear after suits sales dip

M&S reboots menswear after suit sales dip Marks & Spencer has launched a new menswear project called “Smart Redefined”, in response to a decline in formalwear sales, Drapers can reveal. The retailer has created a section on its website to showcase and curate “smart separates”– items that can be worn as separates or together, and can suit a variety of occasions. It plays into the trend of a “broken suit” - a smart jacket with a pair of chinos, for example, or tailored trousers with a bomber jacket. The casual smartwear edit can be found in the menswear tab under suits and formal clothing. It is live on M&S.com now, and products will go into stores over the next month, with new imagery to show different ways to wear the items.
