Date Time Environmental Health Australia Early Career recognition for Maddison Said Liverpool City Council Environmental Health Officer Maddison Said has been awarded the EHA NSW Environmental Health Early Career Professional of the Year for 2020. The award recognises early career excellence, professionalism and great potential in the environmental health profession for qualified environmental health practitioners in the first five years of their career. Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said Council was proud of Maddison’s achievements. “Maddison has exemplified dedication and excellence in her field so early on in her career and we can’t wait to watch her go from strength to strength. This is only the beginning for her,” Mayor Waller said.

Date Time Council rolls out waste collection with attitude Liverpool City Council has unveiled five new-look waste compactor trucks which not only collect rubbish but spread positive messages to the community at the same time. Each truck displays a community message that was handpicked by a Liverpool City Council panel to proudly display messages and values most important to the community. “Council decided to take something important and functional and turn it into something special that spreads a message of importance and starts a conversation,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said. “Council thought long and hard about which values best represent our community, and although it was difficult to narrow it down to just five, we think we have a collection of messages that resonate with everyone in our community.”

good morning and welcome to news 4 midday. i m barbara harrison. it s esday, december 7, 20. we begin with the cold and windy conditions out there. take a look outside. the sun is out. but it s not doing much to warm things up. tom kierein joins us with the first forecast. tom, it feels like february in washington. it is like the middle of winter. we ve had this unusual pattern thanks to, i should say, blame on an area of low pressure, an enormous deep area of low pressu spitting its way or eastern canada and bringing us these cold winds. this is unusually cold for december. our average high this time of year is 49 degrees. right now it s only 33 at reagan national. it s still below freezing throughout most of the region except southern maryland, northern neck of va vanned the chesapeake bay, low to mid 30s there. farther to our west and north, it s still only around 30 degrees. the winds are making it feel even colder. these are the windchills. this is what it feels like
