Council rolls out waste collection with attitude
Liverpool City Council has unveiled five new-look waste compactor trucks which not only collect rubbish but spread positive messages to the community at the same time.
Each truck displays a community message that was handpicked by a Liverpool City Council panel to proudly display messages and values most important to the community.
“Council decided to take something important and functional and turn it into something special that spreads a message of importance and starts a conversation,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.
“Council thought long and hard about which values best represent our community, and although it was difficult to narrow it down to just five, we think we have a collection of messages that resonate with everyone in our community.”
