While the communityâs cheerleading squad, The Heritage Hotties, shook blue and gold pom-poms, Douglas Walther, executive director of The Heritage of Green Hills, said, âWe are always adapting and evolving to better serve our current and future residents, but the new Health Care Center is a big leap forward and certainly cause to celebrate.
The Heritage of Green Hills, a healthy life plan community in Cumru Township, Berks County, pulled out all the stops to spread cheer on March 20, the International Day of Happiness.
âItâs been a rough year, full of uncertainty,â said the communityâs Well By Design Director Cheryl Anderson. âBut now that spring has arrived, and our team and residents have gotten both shots of the COVID-19 vaccination, we thought we should celebrate some things the pandemic couldnât take away from us, like our friendships, a sense of humor and fun and our creativity.â
Residents donned fabulously ridiculous squid hats to play the Best Friends Challenge, the Duck Chuck and Chicken Flickinâ at a âDonât Worry, Be Happyâ party held on the Tavernâs sun-soaked patio.
