Drumchapel church: St Mark s hopes to transform disused area into thriving green space

A DRUMCHAPEL church is hoping to secure £5,000 in order to transform a disused space into a thriving community kitchen garden. St Mark’s has applied for a funding boost from Wee Green Grants to create the facility, which would include a children’s mud kitchen and raised beds to allow the community to grow and care for vegetables and herbs. It is hoped the kitchen garden would be well used by the family, youth and addictions groups which already use the kitchen and church accommodation. Rev Audrey Jamieson from St Mark’s said the idea has been in the pipeline for several years.
