Castlemilk project launches scheme to help to support families

Indigo Group CASTLEMILK-based social enterprise, The Indigo Group, is helping to support families in the area with a with a brand new childcare project. The Family Matters project has so far offered 10 subsidised places to local families, who will work with a Family Support Co-Ordinator. The Family Support Co-Ordinator will help to identify what type of support is needed to help and what steps need to be taken to reach the goals. Jennifer McInnes, from The Indigo Group, said: We were awarded funding from the Scottish Government through the Access to Childcare Fund to help us create this project. Anyone can take part in the project - we are taking referrals from community groups, but people can also get in touch with us directly.

Castlemilk-based project nominated in vote for vital garden funding A CASTLEMILK-based childcare project is urging members of the public to vote for them after they were announced as shortlist nominees for vital funding. The Indigo Group, a social enterprise which aims to provide flexible and affordable childcare to families in the area, have been nominated as a recipient of The Wee Green Grants fund . The Wee Green Grants fund aims to help projects ensure all communities can access, enjoy and celebrate their parks, greenspace and open space. The Indigo Group will use the funding to create two new growing gardens at their early years locations.
