Each $1 provides up to five meals fort local families
Arvest Bank kicked off its 11th annual Million Meals campaign, which will continue through May 29.
The campaigns goal is to provide at least one million meals to those in need and it benefits more than 90 locally selected organizations throughout Arvests four-state footprint.
The campaign is particularly needed in Missouri, which ranks among the 21 most food-insecure states in the nation, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Arvest, in Southwest Missouri, will partner with Joplin Bright Futures, Newton County Food Basket Brigade, Monett Kitchen, Carthage Bright Futures, Lockwood Ministerial Alliance, Lamar Good Samaritan Shop, Nevada Community Outreach, Webb City Cares and Carl Junction Bright Futures for the Million Meals initiative.
