Foothills of Punjab and Haryana along with Chandigarh may see some weather activity during that time. Capital city Delhi remains far from the reach of these systems and so are the other parts of Haryana and Punjab. But the foothills and extreme northern parts may see some weather activity.
Intensity of these upcoming Western disturbances will not be very strong. Therefore, we do not expect heavy to very heavy snowfall over the hills at least during first half of February.
In a nutshell, a series of western disturbances are approaching the hills of north India which will result in some other activity over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand as well as Ladakh.
After the passage of the system around February 5, a long break is expected as no system is likely for the subsequent week at least. This may result in drop in the night temperatures and an increase in the maximums over the hilly regions.
In the coming days, weather will improve today and tomorrow. Another feeble system is coming over the hills on February 2 but will be very mild and will be confined to higher reaches. In the month of February as it is, disturbances are frequent and short lived. In the next ten days or so, good weather is likely over these regions.
