The frequent movement of Western Disturbances has kept minimums under check. Temperatures are above normal at this point. Delhi has been at 17 degrees for many days now and drop is likely over Northwest India in a couple of days during the passage of the system.
The snowfall activity is expected to continue over the hills until November 8-9. The activity will be spilling over to the plains largely covering North Punjab and North Haryana including Chandigarh, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Ambala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Amritsar.
Foothills of Punjab and Haryana along with parts of Rajasthan may see some rains around November 8 and 10. Intensity of weather will be more over the hills as compared to the plains. Delhi is likely to not be affected by this system.
Another system is expected around November 4, which will last for about a few days giving rain and snow. There will be a short break thereafter, and then another system will come up. The next one which comes up will also spillover to the plains giving rains over some parts including the foothills of Punjab and Haryana.
More rains are likely today, noticeably for Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and the foothills. Cyclonic circulation of western disturbance, supported by trough in the medium levels, remains unrelenting and lash Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for another 24hr.
