Things are about to change since Chennai rains will make an appearance, and that too with a bang. Heavy rains are expected to be seen over the capital city of Tamil Nadu starting today and will last until Sunday. Hence, for the next 2-3 days, the city of Chennai is expected to see some heavy showers.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected between 28thand 30thOctober. There are bright chances for this wet spell to extend in to opening days of November. The commencement of Northeast monsoon is invariably linked with intense rains for the capital city . Localized flooding, lightening, thunderstorm and gale winds is quite likely, with the monsoon making a loud and energetic start.
In fact, rains will be moderate today, light tomorrow and will remain between light for next 3 days. By the time the system shifts, after about 3 days or so, rains in Chennai may become moderate in nature but heavy showers will remain far away from the city of Chennai.
Chennai rains have begun to make regular appearances since the beginning of the month of October. In fact, the capital city of Tamil Nadu has been receiving rain on every single day of some intensity whatsoever.
