Light to moderate scattered/fairly widespread rainfall has been forecast over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next five days.
A low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjoining South Andaman Sea and the East Equatorial Indian Ocean is likely to move nearly northwards and intensify into a depression by the morning of March 20 and into a cyclonic storm on March 21.
