American schools were found to contain unsafe levels of lead. Today, they began testing kids in newark, new jersey, after lead was found in the water at 30 schools. Anna werner is there. Reporter Tanquir Walker brought his daughters into school today for a lead testing. I think school is the first place that they should be safe in. Thats just goes to show theyre not on tom of thip game. Reporter he joined dozens of other parents concerned about elevated lead levels found in 30 newark schools this year. And the district has now revealed 12 of the water samples taken between 2012 and 2015 have also been above the federal limit of 15 parts per billion.
