No reports of any injuries and no word yet on what caused that blaze. New this morning, a c carjacker faces charges. Just about 11 30 last night, police on routine patrol attempted to talk to a group of people. One of the men ran away. As officers chased him, he pulled a gun and started shooting. Officers fire backed as that suspect attempted a carjacking, failed and then successfullied carjacked another driver. The chase made it to onto the freeway where the suspect tried to drive into an officer. Witnesses say they saw the driver speed by in upwards of 100 miles an hour. This guy was shooting at the police. Shots fired three times on 101 and 28th in santa clara. He was hopping on the highways and going crazy. No officers were injured. The suspect did hit another car in the chase and both people in that car were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. The suspect was taken to the hospital.
