AMANDA: DESPITE CONCERN OVER THE DELTA VARIANT, VACCINATION RATES IN IOWA HAVE REMAINED RELATIVELY FLAT. COUNTIES ALONG THE MISSOURI BORDER CONTINUE TO HAVE THE LOWEST VACCINATION RATES. WAYNE COUNTY WITH 34% VACCINATED, VAN BUREN COUNTY WITH 32%, DECATUR COUNTY WITH 31% AND DAVIS COUNTY WITH 29%. LYONS, N.Y. (WHEC) May the Dose Be With You , Wayne County Public Health hosted a Star Wars-themed vaccination clinic Tuesday, May 4, or May the Fourth Be With You.
The goal now is to get everyone that hasn t gotten their COVID-19 shot into a chair to create herd immunity.
Stormtroopers, Princess Leia, and even Darth Vader were there encouraging people to get their vaccine. The Wayne County Health Department had 60 doses of Pfizer that they plan to get through by Wednesday.

LYONS, N.Y. (WHEC) Wayne County Public Health is holding a vaccine clinic this weekend and it told News10NBC plenty of appointments are still available.
The clinic is being held at Wayne County Public Health’s office at 1519 Nye Rd. in Lyons from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
It’s offering the Pfizer vaccine, which is available to anyone 16 and older.
The clinic has walk-in hours between 10 a.m. and noon.
Attendees are asked to bring their photo ID and an insurance card. The vaccine is free.

As of 7:30 a.m. there were still more than 200 appointments available for the first dose Moderna COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Lyons.
The event was slated for 3:15 p.m. with appointments running until 7 p.m.
It’s taking place at Wayne County Public Health located at 1519 Nye Rd., Suite 200, in Lyons.
