The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce hosted an Eggs and Issues Breakfast at the Lane Tree Conference Center on Tuesday to tackle the direction the city and county are headed
Work is set to start on the Main and Delaware pavement project today. With that, city officials want the public to be aware of ways to help the process move smoother and minimize the effect on small businesses. Construction is slated to begin at the 7th and Delaware intersection near CVS and will progress east. The price tag of the work is just over $7 million dollars and is being covered by the state. The work on Main and Deleware Streets is not the only work taking place in the city. The City of Fairfield is also seeing work on a new Water Tower in the community. in the area of Southwest 7th Street.
The annual Wayne County Chamber of Commerce dinner was held Monday Evening at Willow Creek. In awards, Classic Pizza and Pasta was named business of the year. Raylen James Marketing LLC was named the new business of the year. Finally, Clifford Reever was named Community Service Person of the Year. All three recipients of awards had a chance to accept their awards and show their thanks to those in attendance.
