Man arrested for spitting at police, trying to attack health care workers, police say January 31, 2021 10:48 AM Logan Rude MADISON, Wis. Police arrested a man Saturday afternoon after he spat at police officers and tried attacking health care workers at a local hospital. Officers initially responded to the Subway on Watts Road in response to a report that a man was threatening customers and employees, according to an incident report. When police arrived, they tried stopping the man from making threats, but he continued regardless of their efforts. According to the report, the man, 33-year-old Tony Olson, continued to resist officers as they took him into custody and spat on officers as they tried to get him into a police car.

Dysart council stands firm during talks on dangerous intersection

Dysart council spent time discussing its service delivery review process on Feb. 16. News22 December 2020 By Mike Baker Dysart et al council has held off on making any changes to the intersection at Kennisis Lake Road and Watts Road, which has been described as “problematic” and “dangerous” by some area residents and one elected official. At its meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 15, council debated the merits of possibly reconstructing the intersection or installing stop signs, after Rob Camelon, the township’s director of public works, noted there have been several complaints made regarding the safety of the rural junction. “Council and staff alike have had complaints about this intersection. It’s described as dangerous. I spoke with the fire chief (Mike Iles), and he’s not aware of any car accidents up there, and I’m not aware of any. As far as we can tell, there may have been some near misses,” Camelon said.

Witnesses told Howard’s mother that the driver sped up and went through a red light after hitting her, leaving her body in the street. “She hit the windshield and her body kind of flew,” said Monica Howard, Lamara’s mom. “What witnesses told me is that her body landed in the street right outside of Kwik Trip traffic. Witnesses picked her up because there was oncoming traffic so they didn’t want her… he left her in the middle of the street for dead.” Howard said Lamara has a long road of recovery ahead. “As far as her medical diagnosis right now, it is unknown what we have to face,” said Howard.
